Alondra de la Parra has gained a lot of attention for her captivating and lively performances and her dedication to Latin American composers. She has conducted over 100 of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Orchester de Paris, the London Philharmonic Or- chestra, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Bamberg Symphony, the Swedish Radio Sym- phony Orchestra, the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
From January 2017 to November 2019 she was Music Director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, making her the first ever female principal conductor of an Australian orchestra. She is the official cultural ambassador for Mexico, where her first album "Mi Alma Mexicana" achieved platinum status, and in March 2017 was appointed international brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz. Since July 2017, Deutsche Welle has been broadcasting “Musica Maes- tra”, a new classic format in which Alondra de la Parra appears as a protagonist and reporter in several web videos and television programs.
In the 2019/20 season she made her debuts with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra in the Musikverein, the Orchester Philharmonique du Luxembourg with Rolando Villazón, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Dresden State Orchestra for the 2019 Christmas concert in the Frauenkirche, which was broadcast by ZDF. She conducted Tchaikovsky's “Ro- meo and Juliet” with the Queensland Ballet in Brisbane, a concert at the Komische Oper Berlin with the cellist Jan Vogler and returned to the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, with whom she has worked closely for several years. In 2020 Alondra de la Parra was once again a guest at the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, at the Berlin State Opera for the revival of Yuval Sharon's production of Mozart's “Magic Flute” and at the Royal Opera House.
Her engagements in recent seasons include her subscription debut with the NHK Symphony, her debut at the Beethovenfest Bonn, her acclaimed return to Orchester de Paris, which was broadcast live by the TV channel Arte, appearances with the Verbier Festival Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and a live orchestral performance of the film "West Side Story" in the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico as well as the world premiere of the new production THAMOS at Mozart Week Salzburg, together with the Camerata Salzburg and the theater collective La Fura dels Baus around Carlus Padrissa, and her Debut at the Festival de Pâques in Aix-en-Provence.
